Dr. Joseph Wetherhold earned his undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego before graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Early in his career, he served with the Peace Corps in Honduras, where he taught fish farming and contributed to local development projects. A lifelong learner committed to advancing his skills, Dr. Wetherhold is a proud member of CDOCS, SERE, and the American Dental Association (ADA). He recently completed advanced implant training in the Dominican Republic, combining hands-on education with providing much-needed dental care to underserved communities. Deeply rooted in Freeport, Dr. Wetherhold is dedicated to meeting the dental needs of his town and the surrounding area. He and his wife, Jeffrie, share two wonderful daughters, Olivia and Zoe, along with their beloved dog, Tutu, and cat, Calvin. When not in the office or pursuing continuing education, Dr. Wetherhold and his family enjoy heading north to their camp for rest, relaxation, and time together in nature.
