Dr. Jacobsen started his dental experience at the University of Connecticut in 1999 and graduated in 2003 with several honours and distinctions in oral and maxillofacial surgery including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award, the Dr. Richard G. Topazian Award in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American College of Dentists Award. Following his graduation from UCONN, he was accepted into the combined Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. He completed his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 2003. Dr. Jacobsen graduated from Harvard Medical School in 2006. He then completed two years of general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Finally, he finished his oral and maxillofacial training in 2009 during which time he served as the Chief Resident of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery division at Massachusetts General Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Boston.
