Dr. Oliver, a Kansas City native, did his undergraduate work at DePauw University. He returned to Kansas City to attend U.M.K.C. School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Periodontology Annual Student Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics and was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honorary society. He then completed a residency in periodontics at the University of North Carolina and returned to Kansas City in 1984 to join Dr. Mcknight, Jr. in practice and teach at UMKC School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Fifth District Dental Society, the Kaw Valley Study Club and the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Oliver and his wife Marty were high school sweethearts and love calling Kansas City home. They are proud parents to their two grown daughters Abigail and Annie. When not in the office, Dr. Oliver enjoys a variety of activities including tennis, and walking their two dogs.
