I am an Arizona native, born and raised. I received my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University before moving to Portland Oregon for dental school. I attended Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Dentistry where I received my doctorate degree in dental medicine. I practiced dentistry in New Mexico before moving my family to settle here in the Verde Valley. Dentistry became the career choice for me as I have always enjoyed studying biological and physical sciences and love working with my hands. I love that practicing dentistry has given me the privilege of connecting with patients on a personal level while empowering them to take an active role in their dental health. I am a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. I participate in a monthly study club with other dental professionals in the Verde Valley. I am also fluent in Spanish. The Mackey family is excited to be back to their home state, Arizona to be closer to family. Dr. Mackey and his wife Christi have four young boys active in sports and scouts. He is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America and serves as a youth teacher in his church. When he is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his family hiking, biking and smiling.
