Dr. Chawla has been practicing dentistry since 2000. She graduated from St. Mary’s University in 1996 with an honors degree in Biology. In 2000, she earned her Doctor of Dental Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada. Before joining Dalhousie University's Dental School in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, she taught English in Japan for a year. Dr. Chawla continues to take Continuing Education courses to enhance her knowledge of evolving technology and techniques, including one of our local Study Groups, The Princeton Group of Dental Excellence. In 2020, she was a virtual speaker at the Annual Convention for the American Dental Association. Dr. Chawla is also an alumna of the prestigious Pankey Institute. She is also a certified instructor of stress management techniques and meditation with the Art of Living Foundation. She has been instrumental in getting these stress management techniques into schools in NJ. One of Dr. Chawla’s goal is to help patients feel calm and relaxed about their dental treatments. She enjoys traveling, dancing and spending time with her family.
