Dr. Maria Barnes grew up in the Kenosha/Racine area and graduated from Mary D Bradford High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin Madison and then went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she also served as Class President. Since graduation, Dr. Barnes has served in a number of local and state level leadership roles ranging from President of the Racine Dental Association to Trustee on the board of the Wisconsin Dental Association. Most recently, Dr. Barnes was inducted into the International College of Dentists for her leadership and service to the profession and the community. Dr. Barnes enjoys continuing the 3rd generation of DeRose Dental in Racine, Wisconsin.
