Dr. Gutentag received his B.A. degree as a biology major from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J. He received his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving his D.M.D. in 1966. He went on to New York University/French & Polyclinic Hospital to complete his training in the specialty of endodontics in 1973 and then began his private practice of endodontics in Red Bank, N.J. From 1985 through the present, Dr. Gutentag has been a consultant to the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry. He has been the Chief Attending of the Monmouth Medical Center's Endodontic Section and has served on the Dental Advisory Board from 1984 through the present. He was awarded "Teacher of the Year" by the residents for 2006-2007. Numerous professional memberships, fellowships, awards, charitable work, military service, publications, and patent.
