Mr Shahrdad Kazerani

Shahrdad Kazerani, DMD, MS, affectionately known by his patients as “Dr. K,” is a passionate and skilled periodontist and implant surgeon who has always been drawn to the combination of science and hands-on work. Growing up in the Bay Area with a family of dentists, he attended San Jose State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Kazerani then went on to Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, where he earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree and ranked 6th in his class. He also received a 1st place award for his research at the Student Scientific Association Competition. Dr. Kazerani continued his education at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he received his Master of Science in Periodontics & Implant Surgery. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Periodontology and an active member and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. During his time in Detroit, he also worked as an undergraduate periodontics clinic instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy. He has been published several times in major periodontology journals. Dr. Kazerani has had professional experience as a periodontist since 2016, working primarily in Michigan, where he placed over a thousand dental implants and had a very successful practice. He returned to the Bay Area in 2022. He is dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest technology, materials, and techniques by attending many hours of continuing education every year. He also enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer work.
