Dr Derrell Hood

Dr. Hood is a native of Licking County and is proud to serve his community in central Ohio. He earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Berry College and a masters degree in analytical chemistry from Ohio University, graduating summa cum laude at both institutions. He then taught high school chemistry for three years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After this time, he received both the calling and the opportunity to enter into the dental profession, and remains grateful each day for the opportunity to serve his patients in the vocation that he loves. Dr. Hood graduated in the top 10% of his class at the Medical University of South Carolina, and then completed a one year general dental residency with the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. After this time he completed three years on active duty at Maxwell Air Force Base, where he had the daily privilege of serving our nation’s warriors. The primary passion of Dr. Hood’s life is his love of God, followed by his love for his family. He has been happily married to his wife Quinn for eight wonderful years, during which time they have been blessed with three precious children. When not working he loves to travel, hike, play sports, and otherwise spend time his family.
