Dr. Perez was accepted into the prestigious Orthognathic and TMJ Surgery Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Upon completion of his fellowship, he was recruited to San Antonio, Texas, to join the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. He served as Program Director of the OMS residency and as Director of the outpatient OMS clinic. Dr. Perez has authored over 42 peer-reviewed scientific articles and more than 12 textbook chapters. His clinical interests include maxillofacial trauma, facial reconstruction, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, and orthognathic surgery.
