Mr John Davis,

Dr. Davis grew up in Roanoke and graduated from Cave Spring High School. He attended Roanoke College where he was a Junior Scholar and graduated with honours with a B.S. degree in Biology. Dr. Davis' dental education was completed at Virginia Commonwealth University with a DDS degree. He then was accepted into and completed the Pediatric Dental residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University where he was selected as the chief resident and assistant clinical professor of Pediatric Dentistry. In 1988, Dr. Davis came home to set up practice in Roanoke and is the past president of the Roanoke Valley Dental Society. He practiced in Roanoke for 29 years. Dr. Davis's advocation is inventing. He is the inventor of the Dr. Brown's PreVent Pacifier and has collaborated in developing other baby products for the Dr. Brown’s Baby Bottle Company over the past 19 years. Dr. Davis is also the inventor of the Rhinoguard. He enjoys teaching innovation and is a visiting lecturer at the Virginia Tech Department of Biomedical Engineering. He has over 30 years of clinical experience with over 3,000 general anaesthesia cases performed. He is married with two girls and enjoys playing tennis.
