Dr Richa Mehta

Dr. Mehta is passionate about positively transforming a patient’s life through dentistry. Her goal is not only to make their smile beautiful but also to restore the patient’s oral health, which significantly impacts confidence and well-being. She likes to learn more about her patients before beginning treatment to make them feel more comfortable while also having a keen ability to distill complex procedures into simple language so the patient can understand what’s going on in their mouth and what to expect. Patient satisfaction and Patient education are always at the forefront of her approach to care. Therefore, she is patient and thorough and strives to stay current on the latest dental technologies and treatments. Dr. Mehta grew up in Delhi, India, where she completed her dental training and practiced as a General Dentist for two years. After moving to the United States, she made her way into VCU School of Dentistry and completed her DDS degree in 2018 and has been practicing dentistry in Roanoke area since then. Dr. Mehta has a vast experience in general dentistry, including crowns, bridges, root canal treatments, extractions, implant restoration, Invisalign, pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and dentures. She was actively involved in research and received the International dentist Research award and AD Williams Research Fellowship award while at school. Furthermore, she is a member of the American and Virginia Dental Association. Always a firm believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Mehta has volunteered her time and dental services with Mission of Mercy projects, Special Olympics, Give Kids a Smile Foundation, and an overseas mission project in Jamaica. Dr. Mehta lives in Roanoke with her 2 beautiful children Ahana and Saavir and her husband Dr. Jaiswal is a Hospitalist at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. While she is not working, she can be found spending time with her beautiful family and performing yoga and meditation.
