Dr. Chad Matthews was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Bradley University for his Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. He received his DMD from The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2006, followed by a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University in 2007, and Certificate in Periodontology and MS in Dentistry in 2010. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2011. He has multiple publications on host-bacterial interactions and smoking effects in periodontal disease. Member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and American Academy of Osseointegration.
