Dr. L. Patrick Grisanti II began his career by receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his dental education at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, graduating with honors. After his undergraduate training, Dr. Grisanti was one of six dentists selected throughout the nation to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. During this intensive program, Dr. Grisanti trained with various dental specialists to become proficient in advanced dental procedures, such as TMJ disorders, sleep apnea, cosmetic dentistry, implantology, endodontics, oral and periodontal surgery, orthodontics, and full mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Grisanti has also been published for his research on dental materials in “Operative Dentistry”, a journal for dental practitioners. In addition to his extensive formal education, Dr. Grisanti has participated in over 900 hours of continuing education since graduation from dental school. He is an alumni of the Dawson Academy, a premier organization providing advanced dental education. In 2009 he was awarded his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor only 7 percent of AGD dentists have achieved. Dr. Grisanti has also been selected by his peers to join the prestigious Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and has been selected as a Texas Monthly magazine Super Dentist, 2009. Dr. Grisanti remains active in organized dentistry, serving as past president of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry and the Rockwall County Dental Society. He is an active member in the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Orthodontic Society, The Chicago Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Dallas component of the AGD.
