Dr. Robert Christopher Goldtrap was born in Fort Smith Arkansas, in 1970. He graduated from Southside High School in Fort Smith and attended Colorado State University. Dr. Goldtrap graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a BSBA in 1992. From August 1993 – August 1997, Dr. Goldtrap attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee School Of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. Navy and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in June 1997. Dr. Goldtrap entered a General Practice Residency School at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland. Upon completion, he was stationed at Cherry Point Marine Corps Station in North Carolina till his Honorable Discharge in 2000. After the 911 attack on the World Trade Center, Dr. Goldtrap rejoined the military by entering the Arkansas Air National Guard. He served at the 188th FW, 920 Rescue Unit in Florida, and the 189TH Airlift unit till his retirement in March of 2019 as a full Colonel. Dr. Goldtrap is married to Cathy Goldtrap for the past 20-plus years and enjoys raising their kids in Rogers Area. Dr. Goldtrap enjoys outdoor sports and swimming. He is a registered USA Swimming Coach and an NCAA College Official for the University of Arkansas Swim team.
