Undergrad Degree: Biology, Bachelor of Science. Undergrad School: Texas A&M University. Doctorate Degree: Doctor of Dental Surgery. Doctorate School: University of Texas Health San Antonio. Why did you choose to study dentistry? Growing up I was insecure about my smile and it was my dream to get braces. When the opportunity finally arose, straightening my teeth gave me so much confidence in myself and my smile. Two weeks after getting my braces off, I suffered a sports injury which resulted in nearly losing my front two teeth. I was blessed to have an awesome team of clinicians that cared for and stabilized me during that vulnerable time. This experience has always stuck with me, and made me want to bring that kind of care to others. What do you love about practicing dentistry now? I love people, everyone has such a unique story and I love finding a place where I can meet them and take care of them. I love that I get to work with my hands to fix things and see them change into something beautiful. I get to do arts and crafts everyday! What are you looking forward to seeing/doing in the new community where you will be practicing? I absolutely adore living in the Austin area and am always looking for ways to enjoy all the nature and live music it has to offer. When it’s warm, I am swimming in the lakes and rivers. The rest of the year I’m looking for a concert or trying out a new restaurant. Oh, and you know I’m getting a Round Rock donut! Any family information you would like to share? I have been married to my wonderful husband Conor since 2023. We are dog parents to our girl, Penny, who is a Saint Bernard mix (the other part is angel). What do you like to do outside of the office? When I get the chance, I love to swim, downhill ski, wake surf, and do pilates. I am learning to play piano. I love doing puzzles while watching a period piece or listening to an audiobook. I always like to have some kind of travel plans on the books to look forward to. I am always looking for new things I haven’t tried yet and living life to the fullest.
