Dr. Metz was born in Abilene, TX at Dyess Air Force Base. He grew up and went to school in San Antonio and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1989. He then went on to college at TCU in Fort Worth, TX on an ROTC Scholarship. After graduating from TCU he went to dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Metz served as a Captain in the US Army for 3 years at Fort Lewis in Washington State. After completing his service, he remained as a reservist for 7 years, during which he worked in San Antonio as an associate dentist for 2 years before opening his own dental clinic in Bergheim, TX in 2002. Dr. Metz enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with his wife and 4 daughters. He continues looking for more opportunities to challenge himself and learning better treatments for his patients.
