Dr. Ian Leopold has followed in family tradition, joining his father, Dr. Mark Leopold, and uncle, Dr. Nicholas Murphy, at our San Luis Obispo practice in the fall of 2010. Ian grew up in San Luis Obispo and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Cal Poly. While attending school, he worked in our dental lab preparing crowns and other restorations. He returned to the practice after graduating with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2010. In addition to general and family dentistry, Ian has a special interest in the dental surgical disciplines. He completed the fellowship program with the California Implant Institute, and continued his education in advanced surgical techniques. Dr. Leopold is also proud to be the sole Novadontics Smile provider in all of San Luis Obispo, Monterey, and Santa Barbara counties. In his spare time he enjoys being at home with his wife Jackie, two daughters Sadie and Mia, hiking, cooking, fishing, and playing tennis.
