Dr Joanna El-Maasri

I grew up here in San Marcos and moved home after finishing my residency. This community has always been a big part of my life; it has given me to the opportunity to become who I am. I want to make sure that all the children and citizens of San Marcos have that same opportunity. I became a dentist because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Giving someone a healthy mouth and body, and a reason to smile with confidence, is extremely rewarding. As a dentist, I’m able to truly help people. Getting someone out of dental pain, restoring function, and creating an even more beautiful smile, are all part of a day’s work for me. General dentistry offers me diverse challenges and opportunities. I meet so many incredible people in our practice and am able to build lasting relationships with each of them. I especially enjoy caring for multiple generations of a whole family, from the children through the grandparents. We have wonderful conversations, laughing and learning together. I cannot imagine a more fulfilling profession.
