Dr Robert Lin

Dr. Robert Lin, DMD, is passionate about helping people feel confident in their smiles and comfortable in the dental chair. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by advanced training through the NYU Langone Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in San Francisco. Dr. Lin and his family are proud residents in San Marcos, where he is proud to be among the few Ivy League–educated dentists in San Diego County. He combines advanced clinical skills with a genuine, patient-first approach. Dr. Lin emphasizes patient education and prevention, helping people understand their oral health and how to maintain it. His background in psychology is especially helpful for patients who feel anxious about dental visits, creating a calm and positive experience. Believing that education extends beyond his own patients, Dr. Lin and his team also partner with a nearby high school to provide student internships, inspiring future healthcare professionals and supporting the next generation of dental talent. To stay at the forefront of modern dentistry, Dr. Lin pursues continuing education courses year-round and is an active member of the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS). Outside the office, Dr. Lin enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, their two sons, and the family dog.
