Dr Darya Ghafourpour

Dr. Darya Ghafourpour was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. Valuing the importance of being current with the issues in the dental community, she is an active member of several dental organizations and recognizes the value of continuing her education through attending courses that keep her skills up-to-date. Dr. Ghafourpour takes a comprehensive approach toward helping her patients achieve and maintain oral health. She is known as a friendly, professional and caring dentist, who has a very gentle touch. She welcomes meeting new patients, and is committed to providing them with the best, most comfortable care possible. After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, she graduated with High Honors from UOP Dental School, currently known as the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She was invited to join the dental school faculty immediately upon graduation in 1996. Dr. Ghafourpour proudly served as a part- time faculty member at Pacific/Dugoni for 19 years, and was honored for her outstanding contributions and service with the Excellence in Part-Time Teaching Faculty Award. Dr. Ghafourpour recognizes the value of continuing her education and regularly attends courses that keep her up to date with the latest techniques and technologies in cosmetic and general dentistry, as well as alternatives to traditional care. She implements a comprehensive approach toward helping her patients achieve and maintain oral health. Dr. Ghafourpour stays informed and involved with current issues in the dental community, and is an active member of several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Society, and the Marin County Dental Society. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, playing guitar, and putting together large jigsaw puzzles.
