Dr. Friedman received his B.S. Degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1977; and his D.D.S. degree from UCSF Dental School in 1988. He was elected into membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society as a student. Prior to studying dentistry he worked for several years as a researcher in biochemistry at UCSF. After graduating from dental school, he spent one year practicing dentistry for a nonprofit organization in Trinidad, West Indies. Returning to the Bay Area in 1989 he settled in Marin County and eventually established his practice. His interest in dentistry stems from a desire to blend art and science together with health and patient care. Dr. Friedman's practice philosophy is focused on the importance of prevention, quality restorative care, and the overall health and well being of his wonderful dental patients. Dr. Friedman is a member of the Marin County Dental Society (MCDS), the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He participates in the MCDS Emergency Panel and the MCDS Peer Review Committee.
