Dr. Gopal says, “Clinical excellence along with personal care is my number one priority! I love children and feel I get transformed into their world of fun, imagination and magic.” Dr. Gopal loves her profession because it gives her the opportunity to interact with so many people on a daily basis. She feels fortunate to have a career that allows her to improve her young patients’ health, confidence and self-esteem. Dr. Gopal received her Dental Degree from the Annamalai University School of Dentistry. She was awarded her M.S.in Oral Biology and did her pediatric dental residency at the UCSF School of Dentistry. She was awarded the Eric Byrstom award for clinical excellence while at UCSF. In practice for almost 25 years, her experience spans globally to both India and the United states. Besides owning private practices to provide care in both countries, she has chaired and initiated dental care for the underprivileged and has also been a public speaker at many NGO s promoting dental awareness. Currently, along with private practice, she is also an associate professor providing clinical instruction for pediatric dental residents at UCSF and Children’s hospital Oakland. She also speaks Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. In her free time, Dr. Gopal enjoys classical indian dancing, cooking, and hiking.
