Dr. Scott is a proud Santa Barbara native with deep roots in the local healthcare community. His father served as a physician at Sansum Medical Clinic for over 30 years, his mother worked as an operating room nurse at Cottage Hospital where she still volunteers, and his sister is currently a charge nurse there. Inspired by his family’s dedication to caring for others, Dr. Scott pursued his own path in healthcare—earning a degree in Biology from the University of the Pacific, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree—before returning home to open his practice. A committed professional, Dr. Scott has been an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara–Ventura County Dental Society, where he served for many years as chairman of the Dental Health and Education Committee. He participates in numerous continuing education courses each year, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest advancements in dentistry. Among the highlights of his career was being selected to serve as a dentist for the Olympic Games, where he provided care for athletes from around the world.
