Dr. Alavi received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at University of Southern California. For several years after graduating from USC he worked as a dental associate for several offices in the Bay Area until 2002 when he established his own dental practice in Santa Rosa. Dr. Alavi has a humanistic view of dentistry. He does a thorough examination with a detailed health history to determine the underlying causes of dental and oral problems. Appropriate treatment can then be prescribed to meet the patient’s needs. The oral and facial complex is treated as a whole with consideration to overall health. The teeth as well as the bite, joints, and neuromuscular system are treated when required to achieve comfortable, predictable, beautiful, and long-lasting results. Dr. Alavi has continued to further his education by taking numerous continuing education courses especially in the fields of temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), oral and facial pain, and cosmetic full-mouth rehabilitation. Memberships/Associations: American Academy of Orofacial Pain, American Academy of Pain Management, American Headache Society, California Dental Association, Redwood Empire Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry.
