Dr. Sarpong started his dental journey at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, where he received his B.D.S degree. He then joined the Doctor of Dental Medicine Advanced Standing program at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) and graduated with a D.M.D degree. Dr. Sarpong received the A.C.E. Student Scholar Award during the Advanced Standing program at the University of Illinois Chicago for his academic achievement, commitment, and excellence. After graduation, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Sarpong completed his residency in Advanced Prosthodontics and Master of Science in Oral Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago. Following residency training, Dr. Sarpong pursued a fellowship in Oral Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. He specialises in implant therapy, all-on-X, veneers, crowns, bridges, removable prosthetics including dentures, and prosthetic rehabilitation of maxillofacial patients with head and neck cancers and deformities. Dr. Sarpong is a Maxillofacial Foundation Award recipient and a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He is an assistant professor at the Postgraduate Prosthodontics residency program at UIC College of Dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, producing music, exploring new restaurants, and taking long walks in the park with his wife.
