Dr. Thomas Bolten attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate and dental degrees, as well as Wayne State University for his medical degree. During school he was an accomplished musician and composer, and has a number of original works featured on national radio, television and a Lifetime original movie. Dr. Bolten grew up in Clarkston, MI and is a third generation dental professional. After finishing his studies at U of M, he moved to New York City and completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, focusing on dental implants and facial trauma. He returned to Michigan to complete his six-year residency at Ascension Hospital and Corewell William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Dr. Bolten is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and multiple other local and national organizations. He is on staff at Corewell William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Dr. Bolten is also a member of the National Oral & Maxillofacial Board Examination Committee (ABOMS). Dr. Bolten is the host of "The Open Reduction" YouTube channel, one of the largest social media channels dedicated to the specialty. His content focuses on educating other professionals and the public on Oral Surgery. The channel has over 50,000 subscribers and millions of views.
