Gregory V. Keating was born and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. In May, 1975, he graduated cum laude from Duke University with a double-major degree in German-Zoology and Academic Distinction in Germanic Languages and Literature. While working on a master’s degree in electrical engineering at Drexel University, he shifted gears and attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, as a recipient of the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship, graduating in May, 1980. Upon graduation from dental school, CAPT Keating began his full-time active duty career as a Lieutenant at the Branch Dental Clinic, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. He served on USS America, completed specialty training in prosthodontics, served on USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, became board certified in prosthodontics in 1991, served in Guam, taught at Naval Postgraduate Dental School, and retired in February, 2004. Dr. Keating is a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists, a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a member of the Association of Osseointegration, and a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Keating and his wife, Mary, have been married for 27 years and have two wonderful sons, Ross (24) and Seth (18). They reside in Silver Spring, MD.
