Dr. Michael Smith is from York, Nebraska and joined the Naval Reserves in 1986, where he served for eight years, including a Gulf War deployment in 1990-91. He attended Creighton University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology, then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree and met his wife, Nichol. Following their dental school graduation, Drs. Mike and Nichol joined the United States Air Force. The Drs. served the rest of their commitment at Altus Air Force base in OK and moved to Sioux Falls to open Dental Care Associates in 1999. Dr. Mike believes in giving back and providing direction for new dentists, teaching once a week at the Creighton University Dental School. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids and cheering on the Huskers.
