Dr. Vonk is a native of Michigan, having grown up in Battle Creek, Michigan. Following a predilection for the sciences and an appreciation of the natural world, a degree in biology came naturally as an undergraduate study at Central Michigan University. Desiring to be of service to others and with its unique combination of art and science, Dr. Vonk found his niche in the field of dentistry, graduating from Northwestern University Dental School in 1993. This was followed by a residency in hospital dentistry completed at the University of Michigan Hospital. Dr. Vonk is happy to have landed back in Michigan to practice, having already provided 29+ years of patient-centered dental care to the greater Saint Joseph area.
