After receiving his bachelor’s degree in biology in 2008 from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Dr. Fortner attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2012. He soon returned to Washington and began working for a community health clinic in the small town of Clarkston. In 2018, he transferred with the same company to the Spokane area, where he currently resides. During Dr. Fortner’s time as a community health dentist, he gained experience in oral surgery and sedation procedures, performing over 12,000 extractions, as well as hundreds of wisdom tooth extractions. He also completed the prestigious IV sedation course taught by Drs. Ken Reed and Stanley Malamed.
