Dr. Suzanne Cohen grew up on Long Island. She attended the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, where she received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in dance. She attended the University of Colorado School of Dentistry where she was awarded honors, including recognition from the Pierre Fauchard Society and American Association of Women Dentists and Dental Materials Award. After graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dr Cohen continued her studies at the University Hospital of Stony Brook, completing a residency in general practice with a heavy emphasis on medically compromised patients. She then was invited to stay on a second year to be chief resident for the program. Once she completed residency, she ran a pediatric clinic for the Brookhaven health center. She then worked at a general dental practice for 10 years. In 2013, Dr. Cohen purchased her own practice from Dr. Art Jarit.
