Dr. Amanda Garrett grew up in North Charleston, South Carolina, and graduated from Fort Dorchester High School. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of South Carolina and earned her DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Garrett is a first-generation Vietnamese-American. Her parents and grandparents immigrated from Vietnam in the 1980s. She is proud to be the first in her family to attend college and dental school. She resides in Orangeburg, SC, with her husband and their two German Shepherds. When Dr. Garrett is not at Wooley Family Dentistry, she helps her husband, Dr. Justin Garrett, manage his orthodontic practice in Orangeburg. One of her favorite things about dentistry is her interactions with her patients; she hopes to make them feel at ease when they see the dentist. In addition, she enjoys exercising, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new restaurants. Her patients describe her personality as enthusiastic, compassionate, gentle, and kind.
