Grew up in Hamilton, Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1972 before joining US Navy Dental Corp. During his time in the Navy, he was transferred to Charleston and established a private practice in 1974. Married to Ellen for 42 years with four daughters, four sons-in-law, and 8 grandchildren. Avid golfer, enjoys family time.
