Dr. Kathryn Slay is a general dentist who serves patients at the Sangaree location. Dr. Slay grew up in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia where she earned a B.A. in Biological Sciences. After college, she moved to Charleston and completed a master’s degree at MUSC. Following this, she worked as a dental assistant in Mount Pleasant, SC for one year before being accepted into the dental program at MUSC. While in dental school, Dr. Slay served as president of the American Association of Women Dentists and of The American Association of Public Health Dentistry. At Solomon Family Dentistry, Dr. Slay strives to build meaningful relationships with her patients and to give them the best, personalized care she can offer. She loves that this practice offers a family atmosphere and accepts nearly all insurances, which helps provide accessible care to all patients. When she isn’t working, Dr. Slay enjoys playing tennis, watching Georgia Bulldogs football, travelling, listening to live music, and hanging out with her Mount Pleasant, SC native husband, Richard, and their cat Stormy.
