Dr. Theresa Conway found her love for dentistry at age seventeen when she started her dental career as a dental assistant in an endodontic office. After high school, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from St John’s University, while continuing to work part time in the endodontic practice. Following college graduation, Dr. Conway continued her studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, obtaining a DDS degree. In the year after dental school, Dr. Conway completed a one year general practice residency at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. Once she discovered that periodontics was her passion, Dr. Conway moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend the periodontal program at Ohio State University. There, she procured a specialty certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree. Dr. Conway offers nitrous sedation but not twilight. In May 2005, Dr. Conway received board certification through the American Board of Periodontology, thus acquiring status as a board Diplomate in periodontics. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Conway stays abreast of the latest trends in periodontics through continuing education and professional interaction with her peers.
