Born and raised in Chicago area, moved to California in 1965. Undergraduate at Cal State Long Beach, graduated Northwestern University Dental School in 1972. Served in US Army Dental Corp until 1974. Married Joane in 1978. Enjoys gardening, archery, skiing, hiking, travelling. Recently retired educator from UCLA Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program (20 years), previous president of Western Los Angeles Dental Society (2000).
