Dr. Gregg Takashi Chan grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended and graduated from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in 2011. During his time in dental school, Dr. Chan participated in numerous humanitarian trips to Honduras, where he helped provide free dental care to underserved communities. Humanitarian Efforts and Recognition: Dr. Chan has received numerous awards, including the USC John Ingle Award for outstanding achievement in research, as well as the Dental Foundation of California’s scholarship for accomplishments in academic and clinical performance. After dental school, Dr. Chan moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was a managing dentist in a private office. There, Dr. Chan worked with underserved communities and families to provide the highest quality of dental care to both children and adults. As part of his commitment to helping underserved communities in California, Dr. Chan works with Give Kids A Smile, the USC Mobile Dental Clinic, and other organizations he teams up with through his practice. Experience and Practice Philosophy: After moving back to California in 2012, Dr. Chan opened his dental practice in Torrance. He prides himself on using the latest technology and evidence-based dentistry to enhance his patients’ care. Dr. Chan cares deeply about the well-being and individual needs of every patient and is committed to providing the very highest quality treatment. He is a proud member of many dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society.
