Dr. Merrithew has a philosophy of giving back to others in the community and abroad. He has been on several dental mission trips to Guatemala and has been a part of Deerhaven’s annual ‘Doctors with a Heart’ free dental day in Traverse City each year since 2005. He is proud to mentor dental students at the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry through the ‘Victors for Veterans’ program and also enjoys helping our highly deserving military veterans through Deerhaven Family Dentistry’s free Veterans Day dental clinic. Dr. Merrithew enjoys spending time with his wife, Carrie, their two children and their dogs. As a family, the Merrithews enjoy running, boating, ice hockey, and being active outdoors and in the community.
