Dr. Stringer was raised in the rural town of Hadley, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his dental degree from New York University where he was valedictorian of his class. Following graduation, he served four years as a general dentist in the USAF Dental Corps. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the USAF Academy before serving at two bases in Nevada. Dr. Stringer was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and was named Company Grade Officer of the Year. Upon completion of his service, Dr. Stringer commenced training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the largest and highest-ranked healthcare systems in the nation. Dr. Stringer practices full-scope oral & maxillofacial surgery and has particular interests in dental implants, bone grafting, and corrective jaw surgery. Sean married his college sweetheart Chelsea in 2008. They have three children: Hudson, Harrison and Colleen. Dr. Stringer feels most at home outdoors and enjoys all that Northern Michigan has to offer.
