Dr. John Starr grew up in the Starkville area and graduated from the University of Mississippi Dental School in 1984. He then went on to specialise in periodontics at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and finished his training in 1988. Under Dr. Starr’s care, patients have received thousands of successful implant placements since 1989. Dr. Starr specialises in dental implants as well as periodontics. Dr. Starr uses the latest technology of laser periodontal therapy to treat gum disease. He is a member of Mississippi Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American College of Dentists, Rotary Club, Pierre Fauchard Academy, Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners, Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning Trustee, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
