Dr. Neal Martin was raised in Indianola where he graduated from high school with honors. He attended Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, and pursued a dual major in biology and chemistry. Although it is unusual, Dr. Martin was accepted into dental school with only three years of undergraduate education — as compared to the usual four to five year requirement. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1985 with a DMD in General Dentistry. Upon graduation, he established his dental practice in Saltillo, MS, where he provides dental services to all members of the family. Dr. Martin is a member of the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association. He served as president and trustee of the Mississippi Dental Association District 1. He is married to the former Sue Shorter from Braxton, Mississippi. They have two children: Jessica and Elizabeth. Both attended Saltillo High School, ICC and MSU. Dr. Martin is avidly involved in outdoor recreation.
