Mr Filipe S. Lima

Dr. Filipe Lima was born in Sao Jorge, Azores and immigrated to the United States at the age of 9. Seeing the poor dental care his family received in the Azores, along with the strong work ethic his parents installed into him, selecting dentistry as a career was an easy choice for Filipe. After graduating from Hilmar High School in 1996, Filipe went on to California State University Stanislaus where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. It was also at Stanislaus State that he was inducted into the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. From there, Filipe was accepted into one of our countries top dental schools, University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. Here he was invited to become a member of the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After dental school Filipe, along with his wife Melissa, yearned to return to the Turlock area. In 2005 Filipe began working with his then associate, Correy Couch, and in 2007 he bought the dental practice that is today Lima Family Dentistry. Currently, Filipe is thoroughly enjoying his practice. He is working hard to provide patients with state of the art conservative dentistry. He enjoys dentistry because of the one on one interactions he is able to have with his patients. Filipe hopes to make every experience patients have at the dentist a positive one, and through the years diminish the anxiety that some patients have about visiting the dentist. Dr. Lima’s philosophy is to maintain a healthy beautiful smile with minimal intervention. Filipe believes in listening to his patients and together deciding the best treatment options.
