Dr. Marshall was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. He received a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Alabama in 1981 and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1985 at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Marshall joined the practice in July of 1985. He completed a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1998 and received fellowships in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists in 2005. He currently serves on the American Dental Association's Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention and serves as a course facilitator for the Case-Based Education curriculum at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He is a past President of the Alabama Dental Association. Dr. Marshall maintains dental staff privileges at both the Tuscaloosa Surgical Center and DCH Regional Medical Center where he is able to care for our patients with extreme anxiety or special needs. He also has served as dental consultant to the Snow Sleep Clinic for the past 30 years and fabricates custom mouthpieces to treat patients who suffer from sleep apnea. He enjoys building relationships with his patients and nurturing those through the years. He particularly enjoys complex restoration cases where he teams up with dental specialists to strive to achieve the best results. Dr. Marshall is married to Dr. Johnson's daughter, Pam, and they have three daughters. He enjoys volunteering in juvenile detention ministry through Church of the Highlands.
