Dr Matthew Comfort

Dr. Matthew Comfort is a board-certified periodontist in Orange who believes that every patient deserves care in a warm, welcoming, and truly "comfort"able environment. His compassionate approach to periodontal care stems from his understanding that many patients feel anxious about gum treatments, and he takes great pride in helping people feel at ease while providing the highest quality treatment for their gums, teeth, and overall oral health. Dr. Comfort is passionate about helping patients improve not just their oral health, but their confidence and quality of life through comprehensive periodontal care. After graduating at the top of his class from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Comfort served his country in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas. It was during his military service that he discovered his true calling in periodontics, witnessing how advanced gum and bone treatments could dramatically transform patients' lives. This experience inspired him to pursue specialized training at the prestigious UCLA-VA Periodontal Residency Program, where he honed his expertise in bone and gum grafting, dental implant placement, and other advanced periodontal procedures. As a specialist, Dr. Comfort focuses exclusively on the health of the supporting structures of your teeth, including the gums, bone, and connective tissues that keep your smile strong and healthy.
