Dan was born in Augusta, GA. He attended a fine arts magnet school, where he played the baritone saxophone in the symphonic and jazz bands. He was involved with Boy Scouts of America and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Dan attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Dan returned to Augusta where he worked several years at the Medical College of Georgia. Dan was an avid cyclist; during this time he raced bicycles while finding his passion in dentistry. Dan moved to Macon, GA and earned a Master’s degree from Mercer University School of Medicine to prepare him for dental school. He again returned to Augusta where he started working at the Dental College of Georgia. Dan became an assistant in the General Practice Residency clinic while applying for dental school. During this time he assisted Lacey in her 3rd year of school and the rest was history. They were married in 2019. Dan earned the Hinman Scholarship while in school and was accepted into the General Practice Residency program, where he was an assistant prior to dental school. This one year residency program has expanded his knowledge in treatment planning, IV sedation, dental implant placement along with many other aspects of dentistry. While Dan was finishing school and residency, Lacey worked in Aiken, SC. Dan and Lacey enjoy spending time with their daughter, Laura. They are big VSU Blazer fans and look forward to serving the Valdosta community.
