Dr. Christian Okafor started out his career working as an archive assistant while paying his way through school. He went on to obtain a first degree in Zoology, a master’s in Cellular Parasitology, and a PhD in Science with emphasis on Immunology and Epidemiology. He worked with the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute where he did postdoctoral research in malaria vaccine development. His desire to work with people rather than cells took him into teaching Pre-Med Courses at the Northwest University. Fulfilling a childhood dream to be a dentist took him back to school at the UW Dental School. Dr. Okafor graduated with multiple distinctions. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, Academy of Operative Dentistry and the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Okafor is married to Buki who is a pediatrician and they have 2 boys, Chisom and Chima. As a family, they enjoy playing tennis, cooking and taking long walks. Dr Okafor plays the piano and bass guitar by ear.
