Growing up in Guam, Dr. Ranola didn’t have access to the same quality of preventive dentistry available in the United States. As a result, she experienced several dental problems. She decided to become a dentist to help prevent children and families from suffering the same oral health issues. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, Dr. Ranola relocated to Florida, where she completed dental school at Nova Southeastern University in 2005. It didn’t take long for Dr. Ranola to return to Washington, intent on establishing a practice and building her family. In 2008, she opened Ranieu Family Dental here in Vancouver. Dr. Ranola is committed to continuing education and takes several advanced courses each year that enhance her skill and knowledge to better serve patient needs. In her spare time, Dr. Ranola, her husband, Tai, and their young daughter frequently travel to Jamaica with Zion International Care to provide health services to at-risk and disadvantaged residents. As an active family, the three frequently participate in local 5K runs.
