Dr Klara Nazaryan Efner

Originally from Yerevan, Armenia, Dr. Efner completed Dental School at Yerevan State Medical University over two decades ago. She moved to the United States a few years after graduation, started a family, and worked as a Dental Assistant for 9 years. At age 34, she went on to complete dental school (for the second time) at the University of the Pacific, A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, to acquire her U.S. dental credentials and licensing. After working as an associate for several years, Dr. Efner’s vision for creating her own practice became a reality. Serene Dentistry was born from a heart that wanted to genuinely care for and be a nurturing presence for patients in a serene atmosphere where they felt heard. Beyond serving her patient family, she is also passionate about dental outreach to underserved communities in the US and abroad. In addition to graduating from Dental School in both Armenia and the United States, Dr. Efner completes more than 100 hours of continuing education every year. She is the incoming Vice President of the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society and currently serves as Chair of the Committee on Continuing Education. Dr. Efner loves spending time with her family, traveling, working with her hands, doing arts and crafts, and learning about other cultures and traditions. She is a certified Yoga instructor who is passionate about pursuing a lifestyle of health and fitness.
