Dr. Valdez, the second youngest of 8 children, was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from the University of California at San Francisco, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Association. Dr. Valdez is active in the community. He volunteered his time and services in the Oxnard School District by providing dental screenings to local elementary and middle-school students. In addition, he volunteered at the Oxnard Salvation Army Clinic, and the Juvenile Justice Facility where he provided free dental service to incarcerated youth. As a result of all of his volunteer work over the past several years, Dr. Valdez was selected as the Santa Barbara-Ventura Counties Dental Care Foundation's Volunteer Dentist of the Year Award for 2015!
